A specialist ETL Test Analyst with strong BI, SQL and Data expertise is urgently required by my client to provide additional quality assurance expertise on key programmes of work based around the development of core customer-focussed applications. You will work on a suite of data integrations with functions, service bus, service fabric and Restful APIs in a Cloud-based environment.

Automated ETL Test Analyst Role and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality testing for new software products across front-end, back-end and web-based data applications using Power BI visualisation tools.
  • Work collaboratively with Developers, QA Analysts and Delivery Managers to define test strategy.
  • Perform thorough testing of data to ensure its accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
  • Compare data between systems, applications, and environments to ensure consistency and integrity.
  • Validate the performance of data pipelines, ETL processes, and database queries to ensure they meet performance benchmarks.

Automated ETL Test Analyst Skills and Experience:

  • In-depth experience of data testing methodologies, tools, and best practices in an Agile setting.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL for data querying and validation.
  • Knowledge of the general structure of a data warehousing system and its purpose within an organisation.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data platforms (e.g., SQL Server) is a plus.
  • Experience in working with large datasets, data pipelines and data integration processes (ETL).
  • The ability to change priorities would also be highly-regarded as project work is fast-paced with business needs often changing, and the ability to manage conflicting priorities would be a significant advantage.
