Overview

We are looking for a proactive and engaging Account Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of client accounts at Joos. You will help to manage complex relationships, retain and develop existing partnerships, and identify opportunities to grow the business through our client network.

The client success department is an essential part of the Joos team and helps our clients to maximise the benefits of Joos. By understanding each client’s priorities, educating their teams and leading on relevant activations, you will help partners to get more value from Joos.

In addition to managing client accounts, your role will involve developing client success processes and helping to introduce new technology and initiatives that improve efficiency and accuracy across the team.

About Joos

Joos helps people to stay connected with portable phone charging. We install charging stations in partner venues across healthcare, shopping centres, transport and hospitality, amongst other sectors. Customers can rent a power bank, charge their phone on the go and return it at another Joos station.

Responsibilities

  • Own and develop relationships with high value accounts, managing multiple stakeholders and locations where required.
  • Understand each client’s objectives and create account plans that support retention, service improvements and growth.
  • Lead regular account reviews and onsite visits, presenting performance insights and agreeing clear actions with clients.
  • Manage contract renewals and commercial discussions, balancing client needs with Joos’s business objectives.
  • Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts and use established relationships to secure introductions and additional sites.
  • Educate client teams on the Joos service and how it supports their visitors, helping them promote charging effectively.
  • Develop client activations and joint campaigns with marketing, including seasonal promotions, events and improvements to station visibility.
  • Analyse usage data and client feedback to recommend improvements and assess the results of account initiatives.
  • Identify accounts at risk and coordinate with operations, customer services, sales and finance to resolve issues.
  • Build and improve client success processes and guidance, covering day to day procedures, client communications, account reviews and renewal planning.
  • Evaluate and incorporate new technology into these processes, including CRM tools, automation, AI and reporting systems.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, account plans, commercial information and follow up actions.

Experience and skills required

  • At least two years of account management experience.
  • Experience managing client relationships independently, including accounts with multiple stakeholders or complex requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and relationship building skills.
  • Commercial judgement and the ability to identify and develop opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Strong organisation and time management, with the ability to manage competing priorities and follow through on commitments.
  • Confidence using client data to explain performance and recommend practical actions.
  • Experience using a CRM system and Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • A proactive approach to improving processes and confidence in learning and adopting new technology.
  • Ability to work independently from home and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly for on-site client visits.

What we offer

  • Salary of £35,000 to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Home-based working, with regular travel for onsite client visits.
  • Travel and subsistence expenses reimbursed in line with company policy.
  • Regular team events and free phone charging across the Joos network.
  • Opportunities to develop your career and help shape client success within a growing technology business.
