joon is a busy independent café serving specialty coffee, brunch and weekday lunches. We are looking for an experienced specialty barista who can produce consistently excellent coffee while working confidently in a fast-paced environment.. We offer a stable full-time position, staff meals and drinks, and opportunities to develop within the business. This is a hands-on position in a genuinely busy café, so it would suit someone who enjoys a high-energy environment and takes pride in both quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Dial in the grinder and maintain espresso quality throughout the day.
- Prepare espresso-based drinks quickly and consistently.
- Produce properly textured milk and high-quality latte art.
- Keep the coffee station clean, organised and fully stocked.
- Complete opening, closing and daily equipment-cleaning procedures.
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service.
- Help the wider front-of-house team when required.
- Maintain speed, accuracy and presentation during busy periods.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous specialty coffee experience is essential.
- Strong understanding of espresso extraction and grinder adjustment.
- Confident milk steaming and latte-art skills.
- Able to work quickly without compromising quality.
- Reliable, punctual and comfortable taking responsibility.
- Calm, clean and organised under pressure.
- Available for early starts and weekend shifts.
- Eligible to work in the UK.

Salary: £14.2 – £15 hourly
