Senior Frontend Developer | £50,000 - £60,000 | Guildford | Hybrid

At Jonothan Bosworth | Recruitment Specialists, we’re looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to lead the development of modern, scalable web applications, to join a fast-growing technology provider

This is a chance to play a pivotal role in shaping frontend engineering practices, driving innovation, and creating seamless user experiences.

You’ll use React, TypeScript, and JavaScript to architect and deliver outstanding user interfaces, collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior developers.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the design, development, and optimisation of web applications with React, TypeScript, and Next.js
  • Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product managers
  • Architect reusable components and scalable UI patterns
  • Write clean, maintainable code with strong testing practices
  • Ensure responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
  • Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and UI/UX issues
  • Mentor developers and contribute to team-wide best practices

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years’ experience in frontend development
  • Strong expertise in React, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, Next.js
  • Skilled with CSS3, HTML5, and build tools (Webpack, Babel, etc.)
  • Knowledge of state management frameworks (Redux, Zustand)
  • Understanding of Node.js and backend principles
  • Experience with RESTful APIs & testing frameworks (Jest, RTL)
  • Strong focus on performance, scalability & accessibility
  • Clear communicator, problem-solver, and team player

Experience with React Native or mobile frameworks, exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Agile ways of working, and prior mentoring/leadership experience are all advantages.
