Additional: Approx. £6,500 per annum in sleep-in payments (based on 8 per month)

About the Role
Joneshouse Recruitment is working in partnership with a provider opening a new children’s intensive residential home in Wisbech. We are seeking an experienced and resilient Deputy Manager to support the launch and ongoing leadership of this service. This is an opportunity to join a growing organisation with multiple homes nationally, offering strong leadership support and genuine career progression. The home will support young people with complex needs, requiring a therapeutic, structured, and nurturing approach. This role is ideal for an experienced Senior Residential Worker ready to step up, or an existing Deputy Manager seeking a fresh challenge.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home.
- Lead and develop the staff team, promoting a positive and therapeutic culture.
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and quality standards.
- Support care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.
- Contribute to rota management and budget oversight.
- Step up to manage the home in the absence of the Registered Manager.
- Promote a child-centred approach that reduces restraint and supports positive outcomes.

Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience within a Children’s Residential Home (as Senior or Deputy).
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or above in Children and Young People (essential).
- Ambition: Willingness to work towards Level 5 (if not already achieved).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures.
- Skills: Experience with staff supervision, rotas, and operational responsibilities.
- Resilience: High confidence in managing challenging behaviours through a therapeutic lens.
- Licence: Full UK Driving Licence.
