Team Leader Childrens Residential Home
Location:Northampton (NN1)
Salary:£14.75 per hour (40 hours per week)
Sleep-ins:£55 per sleep-in shift
Joneshouse Recruitmentis proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client for aTeam Leaderto join a dedicated residential team supporting children and young people aged 717 with learning disabilities and associated challenging behaviours.
This is a fulfilling role where you will lead by example, helping children develop and thrive in a safe, caring, and structured environment
Key Details:

Shift Pattern:Variable, 3 shifts per week on a 3-week rolling rota

Hours:7am10pm or 8am11pm (flexibility required across 7 days)
Main Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day leadership and support to the care team.
-
Deliver safe, consistent, and person-centred care to children with learning disabilities and complex needs.

Promote the emotional, social, and physical wellbeing of the young people.

Manage daily routines and ensure all care practices align with policies, procedures, and care plans.

Maintain accurate records, including care plans, reports, and medication logs.
-
Support in the coordination of household duties and activities.
-
Act as a positive role model, leading by example to promote best practices.

Undertake key worker responsibilities, providing consistent support to specific children.

Liaise effectively with families, social workers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for each young person.

Participate in staff supervision, meetings, and in-house training.
Essential Requirements:

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare(or equivalent must be held)

Previous experience in childrens residential care

Strong understanding of safeguarding and childrens home regulations

Ability to manage challenging behaviours in a supportive, therapeutic way

Full UK driving licence isstrongly preferred

Excellent communication and leadership skills
