Registered Manager (Commissioning) Location: Gillingham, Kent Salary: £50,000 per annum + 11% Performance Bonus (paid quarterly) Service: New 15-Bed Mental Health Residential Service About the Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead the commissioning and launch of a brand-new 15-bed residential service supporting adults with mental health needs. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a new service from the ground up. You will play a key role in registration, mobilisation, recruitment, occupancy growth, and establishing a high-quality service with strong foundations and a positive culture. Key Responsibilities * Lead the registration, mobilisation, and successful opening of the service. * Recruit, develop, and manage a new staff team. * Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding requirements, and best practice standards. * Oversee admissions, assessments, and person-centred support planning. * Build effective relationships with local authorities, healthcare professionals, and referral partners. * Manage service budgets, resources, and performance targets. * Implement robust quality assurance, risk management, and safeguarding processes. * Promote continuous improvement and maintain high standards of care and support. * Drive occupancy levels and support the long-term success of the service. * Provide leadership, direction, and support to the wider team. About You * Previous experience as a Registered Manager within Health and Social Care. * Experience commissioning, opening, or mobilising a new service. * Strong understanding of CQC regulations and quality standards. * Experience supporting adults with mental health needs. * Proven leadership, staff management, and recruitment experience. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. * Strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, and compliance. * Experience managing budgets and service performance. * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or willingness to work towards). * Full UK driving licence.
