Starting at £26,208 Full Time Between 2 Sites – (B38) & (B60). We are seeking an experienced and proactive Caretaker to support a wide range of maintenance and site-related tasks around two school sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out and record regular safety checks, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, playground equipment, and legionella prevention.
- Complete a variety of maintenance tasks as directed by the Head Teacher, such as basic carpentry, plumbing, and painting.
- Plan and manage a rolling decoration schedule, to be completed during school holidays.
- Oversee contractors working on-site, ensuring their work is safe, high-quality, and completed properly.
- Maintain the school grounds, including grass cutting and hedge trimming when needed.
- Keep all pathways and entrances clear of leaves, moss, snow, and ice to ensure safe pedestrian access at all times.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks as requested by the Head Teacher or the Estates Team.
