Opening later this year, this role offers a unique opportunity for a "mobilisation expert" to build a service from the ground up. Principal Accountabilities:
- Commissioning & Registration: Liaise with CQC to ensure the service is registered in a timely manner and meets all initial regulatory requirements.
- Practice Leadership: Develop and implement excellence in mental health support and Active Support models.
- Mobilisation Planning: Draw up and implement the initial Service Plan based on the specific mental health needs of the 15-bed intake.
- Recruitment: Build the staff team from scratch, managing the recruitment of Support Workers, Seniors, and Deputy Managers.
- Assessment: Carry out complex pre-admission assessments to identify potential risks and ensure a balanced resident group.
- Staff Development: Lead the professional induction of the new team, ensuring all staff are trained in MH-specific de-escalation and person-centred care.
- Stakeholder Relations: Represent the client externally, building productive relationships with local mental health teams, forensic psychiatrists, and social workers.
- Financial Management: Manage the service budget and petty cash, ensuring financial integrity during the opening phase.
- Reporting: Compile detailed reports for CTO/CPA/Professionals meetings regarding client progress and risk management.
- Business Development: Proactively promote the home to local authorities to fill the 15 beds and maintain high occupancy.
- Risk & Safety: Implement and review risk assessments for service users and staff; ensure the new physical environment is safe and compliant with Health & Safety law.
- Safeguarding: Act as the lead for all safeguarding (POVA/SOVA) investigations, ensuring timely referrals and compliance.
- Quality Audits: Establish a culture of internal auditing from day one to ensure the home is "inspection-ready" at all times.
- On-Call: Provide on-call support as required to ensure the stability of the new service.
Rewards & Benefits:
- Base Salary: £50,000 per annum.
- Bonus Structure: 11% Performance Bonus, paid out quarterly based on occupancy, compliance, and quality KPIs.
