Jones Whyte is a 300-strong law firm with offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh. We were named a Top Employer 2025 by The Herald and s1jobs, and Firm of the Year 2026 (over 250 employees) at the Scottish Legal Awards.
The opportunity
You will be the brand guardian for one of Scotland’s fastest-growing law firms. You will own our brand guidelines, sign off work from external agencies and shape how Jones Whyte looks everywhere, from social clips to event stands. You will design and edit video as well as static work, and you will build AI tools into how the team works.
The team
You will join our in-house Marketing team and report to Christy Chambers, Senior Marketing Team Lead. The team is made up of Head of Marketing, Head of Digital, Head of Client Services, UI/UX Designer and Developer, Legal Link Business Manager, Digital Marketing Specialist, Digital Marketing Executive and a Marketing Assistant. You will own your projects from concept to delivery, with regular check-ins with your lead. You’ll also work with fee earners and business development colleagues across the firm.
What you will do
- Own the firm’s brand guidelines and brand asset register, keep them up to date, and review and sign off creative work from third parties
- Design artwork for social media, digital ads, print, events and internal communications
- Shoot, create and edit video, including social clips, promotional videos and event recaps
- Pitch new creative ideas, formats and campaign concepts to the team, not just deliver briefs
- Produce creative variations for A/B testing, and use performance data to improve future work
- Use AI tools at every stage (idea generation, production and quality checks) and trial new platforms the team could adopt
- Juggle several projects at once, including quick-turnaround requests at short notice
What we are looking for
- 2–4 years’ experience in a graphic design role, agency or in-house
- A portfolio showing both static design and video editing work
- Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro or After Effects
- Experience using AI tools in your creative workflow, and an interest in finding new ones
- Confidence presenting and explaining your creative decisions to stakeholders
- Experience handling a busy, deadline-driven workload
Desirable but not essential
- Experience developing or scaling a brand identity from the ground up
- Evidence of improving turnaround times or reducing revision rounds
What you get
- Company pension scheme (Royal London)
- Medicash health plan (BUPA health insurance from Associate level)
- Holiday Loyalty Scheme: up to 5 extra days
- Buy or sell up to 3 days’ holiday each year
- An early finish on your birthday
- Hybrid working (on completion of induction training)
- Enhanced maternity and paternity pay
- Salary Extras: discounts and savings at a wide range of retailers
