At Jones Skips, we provide reliable skip hire and compaction services to businesses across the region, bringing all waste back to our Wolverhampton-based transfer station for processing. We’re proud of our strong reputation and friendly, down-to-earth team. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a driven, self-motivated Business Development Manager to help us win new business and build strong customer relationships.
What you’ll be doing:
This is a high-autonomy, field-based role focused on outbound sales and new business generation. Reporting directly to the Principal Director and working alongside another BDM, you’ll:
- Generate and follow up your own leads within your region
- Secure new business, with a focus on compaction services (e.g. wheelie bins)
- Promote and sell the full range of services, including skips and Ro-Ros
- Meet with potential customers on-site across the West Midlands
- Build long-term relationships and provide occasional support to existing customers
What we’re looking for:
- Proven success in outbound sales, ideally in the waste management sector
- A confident self-starter who enjoys autonomy and getting out on the road
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
- Knowledge of compaction/bin services and skip hire is a bonus
