We are looking to recruit for an Electrical Shift Engineer. Duties of the Electrical Shift Engineer include:
- Extensive understanding of Critical Facilities/Data Centre infrastructure (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & associated assets).
- Effective inspection, operation and maintenance of all associated MEP assets within the critical facility.
- Primary focus on critical facilities risk management and enhancing the quality of service delivery through effective technical engineering capabilities.
- Lead in Planned, Corrective and Reactive Maintenance tasks.
- Ability to issue PTW, ensuring compliance with method statements and risk assessments.
- Operational understanding of all MEP systems within the Critical Facility/Data Centre.
- Making recommendations for improvement and providing concise technical reports.
- Ensure that Specialist Vendors service visits are completed efficiently.
- Provide backup as engineering shift relief cover.
- Accurately report all completed work orders.
- Attend Weekly Team meetings and Quarterly Team Meetings.
- Complete shift handover reports.
- Participate in Health and Safety compliance activities.
- Liaise with the supply chain for ordering M&E components.
- Take ownership of areas under control, ensuring they are maintained to required standards.
- Evaluate and escalate any potential risks.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of safe systems of work.
- Complete Reactive, Planned & Corrective Work Orders in line with SFG20.
- Escalate all ONWH Alarm Notifications in line with agreed procedures.
- Accurate completion of all Corrigo Work Orders.
- Undertake the duties of an Authorised Person as required.
- Production of Site-Specific SOP/MOP/EOP.
- Efficient completion of Corrigo Work Orders.
Personal Specification:
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in Critical Environments such as Banking HQ and Data Centres.
- Authorised Person (High Voltage & Low Voltage) Electrical/Mechanical Engineering UK Level 3 Qualification or equivalent.
- 18th Edition IET: Wiring and Installation.
- C&G 2391 Inspection, Test and Certification (or equivalent).
- Strong communication skills and ability to deal with all levels of staff.
- Ability to lead, motivate and direct a small team of engineers.
- Willingness to attend on and off-site training for MEP assets.
- Ability to comprehend and act upon both verbal and written instructions.
- Enthusiasm and pro-activity, with willingness to participate in internal training programmes.
- Integrity, honesty and punctuality is expected.
