Overview
In this Building Consultancy role, you will deliver expert surveying services while actively driving fee income and client growth in the North West. You will work within a high-performing team that serves investor clients, occupiers, and institutions, balancing technical excellence with business development. The position combines hands-on project delivery with strategic networking to expand JLL’s market presence. You will engage across services to provide integrated client solutions and contribute to the firm’s growth in a dynamic market.

Responsibilities
- Conduct Building Surveys and Technical Due Diligence reports
- Prepare and administer repair/refurbishment contracts; manage dilapidations and exit strategies
- Coordinate development monitoring and planned preventative maintenance plans
- Prepare reinstatement cost assessments
- Support junior team members and perform quality assurance on reports
- Assist with portfolio instructions and contribute to fee proposals, bids and pitches for clients
- Proactively identify and win new client opportunities across the commercial sector
- Build and nurture a strategic network including investors, occupiers, managers, and professional advisors
- Represent JLL at industry events to raise profile and generate opportunities
- Collaborate across service lines to offer integrated client solutions
- Track BD activities and pipeline; travel may be required to meet prospects
Key requirements
- MRICS (building surveying) with proven commercial consultancy experience
- Strong technical knowledge across building pathology/surveys, contract administration, dilapidations, refurbishment delivery
- Demonstrable track record of winning new clients and generating fee income in a professional services environment
- Networking capabilities with an established North West commercial property sector contact base (desirable)
- Positive mindset with ability to identify opportunities and develop targeted approaches with Director support
- Commercial acumen and understanding of client drivers, market dynamics, and competition
- Entrepreneurial spirit with hunger to grow the business and contribute to team success
- Self-motivated, target-driven with initiative
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills

- Flexible and able to work under pressure; own vehicle with clean driving licence
