Overview

In this role you will own the day-to-day accounting for allocated property portfolios, delivering high-profile financial reporting and NAV calculations.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate statements, audits, and regulatory compliance under UK GAAP/IFRS.

You will drive process improvements and support acquisitions, restructures, and on-boarding of assets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead preparation of management accounts for selected portfolios, including complex instructions
  • Oversee end-to-end accounting for portfolios: financial statements, NAV calculations, and fund reports
  • Prepare nominal ledger reconciliations, VAT reporting, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentary
  • Manage fund and SPV audits, ensuring UK GAAP/IFRS compliance and regulatory standards
  • Oversee tax, CIS, VAT filings with external advisors; manage fund expenses, capital calls, distributions, and cash flow forecasting
  • Support acquisitions, disposals, and structuring; onboard new assets financially
  • Calculate management and performance fees; support team leadership in absence
  • Monitor cash and liquidity across portfolios; prepare KPI calculations and escalation of technical issues
  • Review client deliverables; identify and implement improvements to standardise procedures
  • Perform other accounting duties to ensure portfolio efficiency
  • Engage with clients and third-party managers; maintain strong communication with client accounts managers
  • Key requirements
  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA Part Qualified
  • Understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Understanding of UK commercial real estate structure and investment management
  • Excellent bookkeeping skills
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and prioritise
  • Organised with attention to detail and tight deadlines
  • Ability to use own initiative to resolve day-to-day issues
