We are seeking a senior analyst or associate to support the growth of the Living Capital Markets business line with a focus on the finance and funding of development and investment projects. The position would suit someone with a Capital Markets or transactional background and a working knowledge of the Living real estate sector and real estate finance markets as well as a high attention to detail and strong client relationship management skills.

The primary function of the role will be to underwrite and present new funding opportunities in the UK Living sector, acting as the bridge between JLL’s clients and the institutional funding market. The role will provide the opportunity to work with a number of other UK teams and business lines to leverage JLL’s best in class market knowledge.

What this job involves:

  • A focus on the UK Living sector including residential for-sale, multi-family, single family homes, Co-living, PBSA and healthcare opportunities.
  • Advising clients on requirements across the funding stack including equity, joint ventures, pref equity, forward funding and debt.
  • Preparation of reports and persuasive marketing material for a variety of purposes and engagement with 3rd party investors and clients.
  • Financial modelling and appraisal of opportunities.
  • Assisting in the development of the Living Capital Markets business through strategic client engagement whilst always acting as a trusted advisor not simply a broker.
  • Liaise with professionals across internal and external networks to source and underwrite investment opportunities.
  • Lead/attend/contribute to client and investor meetings.
  • Assist in all aspects of deal execution.

  • In excess of 4 years of capital markets and/or relevant transactional experience, ideally with an understanding of real estate debt/finance.
  • Experience in development and investment, with a focus on Living projects with an understanding of viability, construction costs and market conditions.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with experience of reviewing financial structures and building financial models.
  • Strong team ethos with excellent communication skills and ability to work with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written English and report writing skills.
  • Effective at managing workloads, working to tight timelines and prioritising tasks to ensure timely reporting to the clients.
  • Enthusiasm and curiosity, with a strong sense of commitment to a career in a growing/dynamic/fast-paced part of the business.
