Role Purpose: Responsible for the safe execution of a portfolio of concurrent projects for various Rolls‑Royce sites. As part of the role you will ensure that the projects are delivered to meet JLL Project Services & Rolls‑Royce’s standards in regard to health, safety, quality, cost and programme, whilst complying as a Principal Contractor with current CDM legislation. This includes compliance with MS18 and CSO6 Rolls‑Royce standards. You must be qualified in a related trade, mechanical, electrical, civil engineering, building fabric, roofing etc.

What you will be doing:

  • You will be responsible for the execution of projects with potential values between ÂŁ50k to ÂŁ15m, across various Rolls‑Royce sites in Bristol (Filton).
  • You will provide Health and safety leadership to your site delivery teams and promote behavioural safety improvements.
  • You will support the project risk management process and ensure effective controls are established to ensure the safe and timely delivery of the projects.
  • You will manage the projects in accordance with the requirements of the NEC3 Framework Contract.
  • You will support project opportunities where identified, to realise, maintain and improve the commercial project performance.
  • You will play an active lead in the production and risk management of quotations and estimates.
  • You will promote and maintain effective client/stakeholder relationships to protect and enhance the company’s reputation at project level.
  • You will ensure our suppliers, sub‑contractors and direct workforce follow company policies and procedures including Health & Safety, Quality Assurance and Engineering standards.
  • Working closely with the Senior Design Manager you will ensure robust, workable economic and constructable designs are produced.
  • You will liaise with the Rolls‑Royce Project Managers and their appointed consultant Project Managers to ensure that the projects are managed in compliance with MS18, CS06 and the current delivery programme and cost plan.
  • You will ensure a high level of service is delivered and develop relationships with key stakeholders.
  • You will ensure projects are delivered to the agreed contract programme and works are carried out to high standard complying with relevant British Standards, codes of practice and Rolls‑Royce Standards.
  • You will ensure projects are snag and defect free.
  • You will provide knowledge and support if required to ensure the quality and performance of the works.
  • You will ensure that post completion deliverables such as final accounts and Operation & Maintenance information is delivered within the contracted timescales.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and development support to direct reports and trainees.

What we will need from you:

  • Proven and demonstrable experience in the role of a Project Manager within the building/construction/building service industries (essential).
  • Experience of working in occupied buildings/campuses (essential).
  • Experience in the use of NEC3 Contracts (essential).
  • Experience of managing health and safety procedures along with knowledge of H&S standards/regulations across multiple sites (essential).
  • Experience in the preparation of quotations and estimates (essential).
  • Ability to develop a good understanding of the customers’ business requirements (essential).
  • City & Guilds /NVQ (or equivalent) construction related qualification (essential).
  • SMSTS, JIB/BESA, CSCS Card, First Aid (essential).
  • Competent user of IT software packages including MS Office, Fieldview or similar tablet‑based quality assurance software (essential).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with clear and confident written and verbal communication skills (essential).
  • High level organisational ability along with time management skills in order to drive and meet deadlines (essential).
  • Self‑motivated with a proactive approach to all tasks undertaken.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and problem solve (essential).
  • Commitment to providing a high‑quality service demonstrating reliability, conscientiousness and flexibility (essential).
