An opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join our Project Management department in Scotland. The team deals with a range of investor Clients including Fusion Students, M&G, Aberdeen Standard Investments and Aviva, and corporate occupier clients such as Barclays, JPMC, Diageo, and Chivas with a diverse range of projects from £150k to £30million in value. The successful candidate will join a busy Edinburgh or Glasgow office and be working alongside other internal departments such as Investment, Agency, Managed Services, Valuations, Lease Advisory, Planning and Rating, to provide holistic, commercial advice to our clients.
We are looking for an outward-looking, commercial, Project Manager/ Building Surveyor with a sense of ‘team spirit’ and an ambition to deliver excellence.
What this job involves
- Liaising with other Teams and Clients to develop business.
- Providing project management expertise and administering, new build, repair and refurbishment projects and internal fit outs.
- Assembling and managing design teams for project delivery.
- Developing & delivering best practice for the delivery of project management.
- Supporting your project and building surveying colleagues if required.
- Assisting with co-ordination of portfolio instructions and undertaking other duties from time to time as may be reasonably required.
- Making sustainable business links with both external and internal clients and offering a professional and excellent client service at all times.
- Building on existing relationships and developing new opportunities.
- Some travel will be required in this role.

- Must be enthusiastic, proactive and self-motivated and be capable of managing external consultants.
- Must have strong verbal and numerical skills, and be comfortable with report writing.
- Requires excellent time management and general organisational skills.
- Is required to be flexible and have the ability to work under pressure.
- Must be well presented and have excellent communication skills.
- MRICS (building surveying) /APM with proven experience, preferably PQE in a commercial consultancy.
- Experience of AutoCAD an advantage.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Project, Excel and Outlook.
- Clean driving licence.
