Business Solutions Analyst

What this job involves

  • Act as the bridge between operational business teams and a technical delivery capability — translating business problems into structured, deliverable solutions that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort across the organisation.
  • Work directly with operational stakeholders to capture, validate, and document business requirements; convert these into clear user stories and functional specifications that can be acted on by you or the wider delivery team.
  • Support the design of Power Platform solutions — working with stakeholders and the delivery team to define the right approach before build begins, balancing business need with technical feasibility.
  • Develop model-driven apps and canvas Power Pages to deliver intuitive, user-facing applications that meet the needs of operational teams.
  • Create and maintain Power Automate flows to automate business processes, reduce manual effort, and improve consistency across the organisation.
  • Configure Dataverse tables, forms, and business rules to underpin robust, scalable solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and enhance existing solutions — maintaining the ongoing health of a live estate of operational automation products and ensuring continuity of service to business users.
  • Act as the UK-side interface for specification, testing, and sign-off activity, and overseeing quality of delivered solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and improvement across operational teams; develop the business case for new builds and manage prioritisation against competing demands.
  • Stay current with developments in low-code platforms and make recommendations for improvements; act as an advocate for the capability and help business users understand what is possible.

Essential

  • Demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform — including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI/Power Query, and Share Point/M365 — sufficient to understand technical feasibility, review delivered solutions, and challenge specifications.
  • Expert knowledge of Java Script and how this is utilised in application creation.
  • Strong business analysis capability: requirements gathering, user story writing, process mapping, and acceptance criteria definition.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders and manage expectations effectively.
  • Experience managing a product backlog or delivery pipeline, with the ability to prioritise competing demands across multiple workstreams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills — able to break down complex business processes into structured, actionable components.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills and the ability to build effective relationships across business lines and with offshore delivery teams.
  • Attention to detail and a quality assurance mindset — thorough in testing, documentation, and sign-off.
  • Ability to manage own workload, prioritise effectively, and work with minimal supervision.

Desirable

  • Experience working with property management, financial, or ERP systems (such as Yardi, Dynamics, or similar).
  • Knowledge of Dataverse — table design, relationships, and security roles.
  • SQL skills — sufficient to understand data structures and validate data outputs.
  • Awareness of API integration — understanding of how Power Platform connects to external systems via custom connectors.
  • Experience working with offshore or nearshore delivery teams.
  • Experience with agile software development and delivery methodologies.
  • Qualification/certification in Power Platform/O365 — PL-900, PL-100, PL-300 or PL-600.
  • What you can expect from us
