Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients and project managers to design security systems tailored to their specific needs and requirements.
- Develop detailed installation plans and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Execute the installation of security systems including CCTV cameras, access control systems, alarm systems, and other related technologies.
- Install hardware, wiring, and peripherals according to project specifications and safety guidelines.
- Integrate security systems with existing infrastructure, networks, and software platforms.
- Configure system settings, protocols, and interfaces to ensure seamless operation and interoperability with other components.
- Conduct thorough testing and commissioning of installed security systems to verify functionality, performance, and compliance with client expectations.
- Troubleshoot any issues and make necessary adjustments to achieve optimal operation.
- Create comprehensive documentation of installation procedures, configurations, and system integrations.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, wiring diagrams, and test results for future reference and troubleshooting purposes.
- Provide training to clients and end-users on how to operate and maintain security systems effectively.
- Offer guidance on best practices for security management, system administration, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Offer technical support to clients during and after the installation process.
- Address any questions, concerns, or issues promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Ensure that all installations meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the performance and reliability of installed systems and recommend improvements as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in installing, integrating security systems, and commissioning including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
- Strong technical skills in electrical wiring, network configuration, and system integration.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to security technology.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and vendors.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Security System Installer, Certified Low‑Voltage Technician) are a plus.
