JLL empowers you to shape a brighter way. Our people at JLL are shaping the future of real estate for a better world by combining world class services, advisory and technology for our clients. We are committed to hiring the best, most talented people and empowering them to thrive, grow meaningful careers and to find a place where they belong. Whether you've got deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades or technology, or you're looking to apply your relevant experience to a new industry, join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward.
Every laptop, network connection and mobile contract at JLL starts with a sourcing decision. As Infrastructure and Telco Category Manager, you'll deliver sourcing strategies across infrastructure hardware, networks, telecom and end user computing, working under the Category Director, Infrastructure and Telco. You'll partner with IT infrastructure leads and business stakeholders to run sourcing events, manage suppliers and deliver measurable value. It's a hands-on role where you'll lead your sub-categories and escalate the biggest decisions to the Director.
What you'll do
- Support the development of category strategies for infrastructure, networks, telecom and end user computing, aligned with JLL's business strategy and technology roadmap.
- Deliver sourcing and supplier negotiations across four sub-categories: Infrastructure hardware: servers, storage and data centre equipment. Networks: WAN, LAN, software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) and connectivity services. Telecom and mobile: fixed line, mobile carrier and unified communications services. End user computing: laptops, desktops, peripherals and print services.
- Lead procurement events from request for proposal (RFP) development through bid management and commercial evaluation to contract execution, preparing contract documents and recommendations in line with JLL's Delegation of Authority.
- Escalate strategic recommendations, and any deals or decisions above standard Delegation of Authority thresholds, to the Category Director.
- Maintain demand plans for your sub-categories, spotting opportunities to consolidate and to improve hardware refresh cycles.
- Partner with IT infrastructure leads and business stakeholders so sourcing activity reflects regional requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with key infrastructure, network, telecom and end user hardware suppliers, and support supply base rationalisation and the strategic supplier framework.
- Run supplier relationship management with the Procurement Centre of Excellence (reviews, scorecards and agreed cadence), and complete third party risk management (TPRM) activity in line with the framework.
- Deliver cost savings, cost avoidance and added value, keeping your savings tracker and project calendar accurate so stakeholders can see the results and renewals never lapse.
- Track market trends, hardware refresh cycles and telecom pricing models, and support the adoption of sourcing tools, process improvements and best practice, in line with JLL procurement policies and ethical standards.
What we're looking for
- Strategic sourcing expertise in infrastructure, networks, telecom or end user computing categories.
- Experience supporting category strategies across multiple regions or business units.
- The ability to manage procurement projects from strategy through execution with moderate oversight.
- Solid commercial acumen, including contract negotiation, total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis and supplier performance management.
- A track record of using AI to work faster and deliver better results.
- The ability to build effective working relationships with technology and business stakeholders, and to collaborate across procurement, IT, finance and operations.
- Sound judgement on when to decide and when to escalate.
- A relevant degree in business, supply chain, information technology or a related field.
- Familiarity with major infrastructure hardware, network carrier and telecom providers and their commercial models, plus working knowledge of end user computing lifecycle and refresh planning. Experience sourcing network connectivity or unified communications is a plus.
- A CPSM, CIPS or equivalent certification (or working towards one) is welcome, as is a background in corporate real estate, facilities management or professional services.
What you can expect from us: You'll join a business ranked #13 in the UK Best Employers index by the Financial Times, with a package built around your wellbeing and growth:

- Private medical insurance
- Flexible working, with a hybrid option
- Enhanced pension scheme
