The Facilities, Maintenance and Contractor Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of facilities, engineering platforms, processes, procedures, and technical support for delivery of engineering services for Johnson & Johnson (J&J) properties in the UK and Ireland. The role is accountable for engineering compliance, operational excellence, and the implementation of model operations and maintenance programmes aligned with global processes and procedures. The individual will act as the single point of contact for the sub-region and ensure seamless collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • General: Checking over Risk Assessments and Method Statements prior to Work Commencing; Raising, Issuing, Monitoring, and Closing Permit to Works; Deploy engineering platforms, processes, procedures, and tools; Provide technical support to service delivery teams; Manage strategic partners for engineering services delivery; Support delivery against any energy reduction glide path; Achieve zero unplanned downtime; Support service delivery teams to meet financial targets; Ensure operational excellence and compliance for the service delivery teams.
  • Operations & Compliance: Ensure operations and maintenance strategies and plans comply with J&J/JLL Engineering programme globally; Oversee and implement technology systems such as Corrigo and JLL Smart Buildings Program; Support and track implementation of standard operating, emergency, and maintenance procedures; Implement and share best practices and innovation within JLL Corporate and other accounts; Ensure consistency in monthly reporting across all facilities and geographies to client satisfaction; Enforce zero tolerance to unsafe working practices; Support transformation of existing operations to the target operating model.
  • Client and Account Management: Act as the single point of contact for the internal JLL Engineering delivery function; serve as escalation point and client interface; Manage relationships with key stakeholders; Develop and implement the Engineering Services account business plan aligned with J&J’s and JLL’s objectives.
  • Financial Management: Support development of engineering budgets; Assist facility management teams to deliver on financial targets by facility; Participate in budgeting and forecasting review meetings; Identify opportunities to cross‑sell services and collaborate with other business lines at JLL.
  • Contract Management: Ensure engineering requirements are included in all contracts with suppliers; Manage achievement of key performance indicators, SLAs, and service level measures.
  • Other Responsibilities: Support and sync up with JLL Corporate office as agreed; Serve as operational reference on business pursuits; represent critical operations as needed; Support research and development of innovative ideas; Evaluate, propose, and pilot appropriate tools/processes; Ensure effective and timely implementation of training plans; Drive initiatives to enhance JLL’s capability to self‑deliver services; Ensure legal, statutory, and contractual compliance; Develop feasibility proposals; Undertake other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Key Performance Measures

Deliver all services in accordance with SLAs, KPIs, Savings Targets, Satisfaction Survey, Personal Performance objectives, and financial targets. Meet objectives as agreed in the Individual Performance Management Program (IPMP).

Experience & Competencies

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in engineering or facilities within a supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage significant operations.
  • Commercial expertise in engineering contracts.
  • Practical knowledge of hard services contract delivery and best practice tools and techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong attention to detail and accountability.
  • Analytical skills and systematic approach.
  • Experience in developing processes and procedures.
