The most important objective of this role will be ensuring that our employees and sub-contractors across the Mobile Engineering business return home safely at the end of their workday. This will require a sustained reduction of incidents and injury rates across the Mobile Engineering business, and engagement with the wider Mobile Engineering community in raising awareness and taking accountability for personal safety and wellness.
This role reports directly to the EMEA Workplace Management HSSE Lead, with regular reporting to the Mobile Engineering Leadership and will have accountability for implementation of the JLL Global HSSE program across all Mobile Engineering UK/Ire operations.
As Director of the HSSE team, the individual will be responsible for deploying and supporting the JLL health, safety and environmental risk management strategy and supporting the HSSE professionals in the Mobile Engineering HSSE team. The role will be dedicated to managing HSSE matters for Mobile:
- Enable the Mobile Engineering business to comply with JLL, cultural, client and statutory requirements in its operations.
- Review the structure and purpose of the Mobile Engineering HSSE function and devise and deliver short and long-term strategies to enhance HSSE performance at all levels in the business.
- Ensure alignment and compliance with HSSE policies and practice and statutory requirements.
- Any other duties deemed appropriate to the role as determined by the EMEA Workplace Management HSSE Lead and/or other senior directors in JLL/Mobile Engineering.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to deal with all people at all organisational levels, internally and externally. Ability to identify trends and identify the root causes of any problems. Recognised HSSE professional qualifications and professional memberships appropriate for the region. Previous experience of working at a national/regional level and managing multi-cultural teams. Internal or External Auditor Qualifications.
