Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior or Executive Director to join our EMEA Living Investments team, focusing on origination and execution of investment sales and acquisitions across the Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) and Multifamily sectors throughout Europe. This senior role will drive revenue growth, expand our market presence in key growth markets, and lead strategic transactions across the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Development & Origination
- Focus on origination and execution of PBSA and Multifamily asset sales and portfolios across Europe.
- Expand market share in high-growth markets including the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, and Ireland.
- Provide hands-on market development and relationship building in emerging markets.
- Drive revenue growth in established markets including the UK and Germany alongside local teams.
- Client Relationship Management
- Grow and deepen relationships with existing clients while systematically expanding the institutional client network across EMEA.
- Prior experience in the PBSA sector, with developed relationships is beneficial.
- Take ownership of core client accounts and drive strategic initiatives.
- Develop creative capital solutions aligned with client objectives.
- Proactively identify investment opportunities that match client requirements and market conditions.
- Transaction Execution & Leadership
- Prepare and deliver high-quality pitches for Living capital markets transactions, including recapitalizations, joint ventures, M&A transactions, and large-scale strategic projects.
- Support local teams on significant transactions and lead origination efforts in target growth markets.
- Source, oversee, and lead strategic transactions across the EMEA Living Capital Markets platform, with a focus on PBSA and Flex Living.
- Serve as designated project lead on multiple concurrent deals, particularly those involving the wider SCS team.
- Business Line Development
- Establish and develop a living sub-sector within the Operator Search business line.
- Complement the established market presence of the hotels team with residential sector capabilities.
- Build frameworks, processes, and client relationships to create a sustainable operator search capability.
- Team Collaboration & Development
- Work closely with local market teams across EMEA to support, educate, advise, and develop talent.
- Foster knowledge sharing and best practice implementation to elevate capabilities across the platform.
- Collaborate effectively with the debt advisory team, SCS team and wider JLL business lines to identify and execute cross-selling opportunities.
- Leverage JLL's integrated platform to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
- Strategic Leadership
- Contribute to EMEA Living strategy development and implementation.
- Support reporting requirements and strategic planning initiatives.
- Drive the overall ambition to increase market share across all markets.
- Achieve ambitious revenue growth targets through strategic origination, excellent execution, and client-focused service delivery.
