We are looking for an Engineering Services Manager to join our award-winning team based in the City of London. Reporting to the UK Engineering Lead, you will be working in an excellently maintained and serviced listed building.
Your role will be:
- To manage and ensure the compliant delivery of all Engineering services in line with JLL’s Statement of work and delivery methods.
- To manage and ensure Playbook and compliance delivery and reporting in line with contractual Matrix.
- To manage all aspects of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance, Project Works and Help Desk Calls in accordance with both client and JLL requirements. Take the technical advisor role in small works / minor projects, with monitoring and governance of both aspects.
- To assist and support the Senior Engineering Management in all functions, to ensure HSE and contractual compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- To ensure contractual compliance with all engineering delivery. To be responsible for technical delivery and governance of the contract requirements and organisation of the site team’s in order to meet the contractual agreement.
- Monitor and ensure all training requirements of the engineering personnel are kept up to date and compliant.
- Oversight of all contract activities, both maintenance and projects and ensure all safety aspects are managed and monitored in accordance with site procedures and requirements.
- Drive and deliver innovative cost reduction or sustainability programs.
- Lead site teams with the preparation of budget documentation from an engineering delivery perspective as required for client approvals.
- Undertake tasks associated with staff during peak workloads and provide holiday and sickness cover for the engineering senior team.
- Staff supervision including all full-time, part-time, sub-contractors and specialist providers.
- Be proactive and provide technical guidance in relation to preventative maintenance and extra works delivery.
- Comply with all procedures and maintain clear & legible records as required.
- Actively participate in emergency out of hour escalations and provide written incident reports as required.
- Develop and sign off detailed planning of the IST Testing activities in conjunction with the local team. Attendance at these events to ensure cohesive delivery.
- Co-ordination of test windows with the internal clients to include documentation control and change management – Service Now.
- To support the critical environments governance and engineering team to ensure the following critical activities are up to date and achieved as required.
- Playbook Procedures implemented and validated as required.
- Advise any operational risks are up to date and notified to the regional team.
- Battery and Capacitor tracker updates to ensure these are replaced before they cause critical failures.
- Annual Plant Condition Assessment.
- Critical Spares Inventory.
- PPM Plan in line with client CSI matrix.
- Oversight of Change Requests – Required for all works on services which may impact critical works.
- Fire Systems testing and recording.
- Close all actions assigned from audits and assurance visits, gap plan produced and tracked.
- Personnel management of direct reports.
- Participate in succession planning, development requirements and training as assigned by Regional Engineering Management.
Health and Safety
- All staff are required to fulfil their legal duty to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others who may be affected by their acts and omissions, and to follow all guidance and instructions given in this respect. - EHS Compliance with all systems – CMO, e-permits and any other H&S reporting as outlined by Engineering Management.
- Travel – While this role is based in Bank Street travel may be required from time to time.
- Other Duties as requested by account management team in order to meet the changing needs and demands of the business.

Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Critical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in lead or management role.
Qualifications
- Essential – Trade Qualified in an Engineering discipline, HVAP/LVAP experience.
- Desirable – Authorised Person (High Voltage / Mechanical Systems / Confined Space), Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or recognised equivalent, IOSH / NEBOSH.
