We are seeking an Energy & Sustainability Manager for our Sustainable Operations Team.
With more than 250 million sqft of real estate investment assets across all property sectors under management, JLL is one of the largest investor managing agents in the UK. Our Sustainable Operations team in London plays a vital role in executing energy and sustainability as an embedded service acting as a differentiator for JLL and our investor clients. We use our leading expertise to support, challenge and inspire our property management staff and clients to create a prosperous economy, a flourishing society and a healthy environment.

In this role, you will be working on a major UK investor account with circa 150 properties in the UK. You will work alongside a designated sustainability lead and a data analyst on energy and sustainability related tasks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of all sustainability activities across the client's real estate portfolio.
- Energy/water meter mapping, waste analysis and EPC and MEES risk management across all tenanted units in the portfolio.
- Building rapport with property managers, facility managers and asset managers to regularly discuss sustainability related matters and drive forward improvements across sites.
- Supporting the team ensuring sustainability data management platforms are accurate, with a high level of data coverage and completeness.
- Effectively tracking and communicating success stories to ensure a high level of awareness and engagement regarding the overall energy and sustainability program.
To apply you need to be/have:
- University Degree (environment, sustainability, science, engineering or related fields).
- Experience in delivering sustainability related services to real estate and corporate clients.
- Excellent project and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy and excellence across all activities including analytical skills with ability to handle large datasets.
- Strong presentation and reporting skills.
- A firm understanding of the key sustainability issues within real estate/built environment.
- Pro-active 'can do' attitude and collaborative growth mindset.
- Passionate about working towards a sustainable future.
Desirable:
- Good working knowledge of sustainability data management platforms and high proficiency in Excel.
- General ability to process sustainability data to benchmark buildings and highlight where opportunities exist.
- Good knowledge of sustainability bodies in the industry and relevant guidelines/frameworks/emerging policies.
- Understanding of green building certifications.
- Basic understanding of 'how buildings work' to support effective conversations around energy & carbon related matters.
- Experience in developing and delivering net zero carbon roadmaps/trajectories.
