A Director is required to lead the South East offices Lease Advisory team. You will be joining a market-leading team of 30 Surveyors based across JLL’s UK office network, having the opportunity to influence the future growth strategy for our UK Lease Advisory business.

The primary aspect of the role will involve providing advice to JLL’s investor and occupier clients in connection to rent reviews, lease renewals, lease re-gearing, and surrender assignments within the south east office market. The individual will also provide general lease and rental advice to clients and colleagues across the firm.

The individual will be expected to play a key role in targeting new opportunities, working in conjunction with agency, investment, and the other professional teams.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Actively manage the national and international client base to deliver the financial goals for the wider London and SE team.
  • Undertake lease advisory assignments commensurate with the role.
  • Target business development opportunities working with colleagues within the Group and colleagues from other disciplines across the wider firm.
  • Look at strategic hires to bolster the Lease Advisory business and develop the skills and potential of team members.
  • Provide accurate management information to the Head of UK Lease Advisory.
  • Deliver year-on-year income and margin growth.
  • Manage fee negotiations, billings, all team projects, and debt recovery.

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:

  • Commercial acumen providing clients with the best solutions, having the ability to identify opportunities beyond the immediate client brief.
  • Ability to manage timelines and work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Engage, support, and deal with multiple instructions.
  • Ability to manage clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong negotiation and quantitative skills, including analysis and interpretation of large data sets.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Good working knowledge of the south east office markets and client base.
  • Experience of rent review, lease re-gear, and lease renewal negotiations.
  • Experience of Expert Witness reporting writing is essential.
  • Enthusiastic, self-driven, and collaborative.
  • Agile, trustworthy, courageous, innovative.
  • Full driving license and access to a car.
