We are looking for a passionate individual with an excellent track record of sourcing debt financing solutions to lead our Debt & Structured Finance EMEA business in Energy & Infrastructure.

The Opportunity: We are seeking an exceptional candidate to join our pan-EMEA Debt & Structured Finance team as part of our business growth plan which has been approved by the EMEA Capital Markets Executive Committee. This is a unique opportunity where we will combine the market-leading Debt Advisory and Energy & Infrastructure Advisory (E&IA) practices at JLL.
Job Overview: This role will be responsible for growing the E&IA practice within Debt & Structured Finance through direct business origination and working on the refinement and delivery of our growth strategy. Reporting into the Co-Head, Debt & Structured Finance EMEA and working closely with the Lead - Energy & Infrastructure Advisory, EMEA, they will collaborate closely with colleagues across the EMEA and Global Debt and E&IA and wider Capital Markets teams, leveraging their own network and the strength of the JLL brand to build and nurture client relationships and generate revenue.
This is a vital Director-level role building and running a collegiate, networked and productive Debt practice in Energy & Infrastructure. The role focuses on business generation, for example on major project and development financing; and on idea generation, team and network building.
What does the role entail?
- Business Generation & Execution, Clients: Win and execute E&IA Debt mandates, driving new business generation with colleagues in Debt, E&IA, Pan-EMEA and Global Capital Markets teams.
- Provide expert debt advisory services across various technologies, including Solar PV, BESS, Onshore and Offshore Wind and wider energy transition technologies and related infrastructure.
- Lead and execute Debt financing deals, focused on project and wider financing to generate a multi-million JLL revenue pipeline.
- Broaden JLL EMEA Capital Markets offering through leveraging debt and M&A to embed in our sector offerings wherever relevant for our clients.
- Grow and maintain a network of clients, contacts, and relationships with investors, intermediaries and market players in the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors.
Preferred Skills & Characteristics:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Renewables financing market sector and a well-established financial advisor network in renewables EMEA-wide.
- In-depth knowledge of project finance, M&A and capital raising in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
- Proven track record of sourcing and generating sizeable transactions, running major client relationships, with the ability to manage and deliver major transactions across EMEA.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- High levels of organisation and ability to perform under pressure, maintaining a clear head to present and provide considered advice under tight deadlines.
