Role summary:
As a Software Engineer for JLL Asset Beacon, you will be an important technical contributor supporting the development of innovative solutions for commercial real estate asset management. Working within a collaborative engineering team, you will contribute to solving technical challenges across the development lifecycle, implementing effective and reliable solutions that help translate business requirements into actionable insights and improved experiences for real estate professionals. You will work alongside the engineering and data team, product managers, and global distributed teams to build and enhance both frontend and backend components. A significant focus involves exploring and implementing AI-driven capabilities, identifying opportunities to integrate artificial intelligence for enhanced automation, predictive analytics, and intelligent decision-making tools. Your full-stack development skills will be essential in advancing the platform's technical capabilities while contributing to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on the real estate industry through cutting-edge technology, working with modern development practices and contributing to solutions that help optimize asset performance and drive business value for commercial real estate professionals worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute and deliver full-stack features
- Conduct regular code reviews and provide technical guidance to other team members
- Foster a collaborative, innovative culture across the team
- Communicate technical constraints, opportunities, and progress to non-technical stakeholders
- Coordinate closely with the product team to understand requirements and deliver solutions

The Ideal Candidate:
Educational Background: A STEM degree, preferably in Computer Science or Computing
Professional Experience: At least 3 years of experience in software engineering; Strong full-stack experience including SQL; Experience with at least one major frontend framework (Vue, React, Angular, etc.)
Soft skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to present work to technical and non-technical audiences
Future proof: A vision for how AI can transform software capabilities and user experiences; Understanding of AI development practices and limitations; An interest in the future of software development
Location: On-site – Bristol, GBR
