Role Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Building Coordinator to deliver exceptional facilities management and customer service at Compton House, with operational oversight of Power Engineering Services and DRC sites.
This role combines facilities coordination with front-of-house reception support (Mondays, Fridays, and cover for absences).
Key Responsibilities
- Operational
Oversight: Oversee Helpdesk scheduling, PPM, and reactive maintenance across all sites using CAFM systems (Corrigo).
Manage mobile engineers, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely completion within SLAs.
Conduct RAMS vetting, contractor sign-off, and quality assurance.
- Service
Delivery: Coordinate hard and soft services including cleaning, housekeeping, emergency call-outs, and small projects.
Monitor vendor performance, manage purchase orders, and ensure compliance with agreed standards and schedules.
- Reception & Front-of-House: Provide professional reception coverage (Mondays, Fridays, and absence cover).
Greet visitors, manage telephone/email queries, administer badging and access control, arrange meeting rooms, coordinate taxis and parking, and maintain security sign-in records.
- Compliance & Safety: Conduct daily site inspections and weekly compliance checks (fire safety, water hygiene, emergency lighting).
Maintain documentation, ensure adherence to H&S regulations, and support emergency preparedness.
Essential Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience in integrated facilities management within commercial environments.
- Front-of-house/reception experience, ideally in corporate settings.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, CAFM/CMMS systems, and Building Management Systems.
- Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of H&S regulations, risk assessments, and safe working procedures.
- Desirable: IOSH/NEBOSH qualification, multi-site experience, understanding of M&E services.
- Location: On-site - Birmingham, GBR.
