We are seeking a Senior Designer on a 10mth fixed term contract (FTC) August 2026 who share a passion for FMCG/ CPG / packaging and brand design. At JKR, our Senior Designers work hand in hand with the Client Services team while providing valuable support to the Design Directors. In this role, you’ll have the chance to inspire our Design teams, mentoring and sharing your expertise with junior members to help them unlock their full potential. Your creative flair will shine through as you demonstrate an Ideas First approach, crafting eye-catching design that make a brand stand out and grab attention.

Responsibilities

  • Working on iconic brands
  • Create holistic concepts and solutions that build on a Brand’s charisma and offer a unique point of difference across all aspects and touchpoints
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of how to connect strategy to creative work
  • Quickly edit concepts to focus in on the best ideas
  • Collaborate with and use internal expertise and experience, as well as client’s knowledge to get to better creative solutions
  • Display integrity, honesty, reliability, responsiveness and openness to be trusted by clients and internal teams
  • Behave as the clients’ creative partner to build trust and ultimately long-term relationships
  • Act a brand ambassador, challenging and interpreting feedback where necessary to build the brand
  • Demonstrate design knowledge, expertise and relevant provocation to clients in line with the brand
  • Proactively look for opportunities that might build long term opportunities with a client
  • Deliver strong pitches, client presentations and influences results
  • Communicate at all levels with confidence and clarity, adapting communication style to audience and situation, whilst always delivering a consistent message
  • Openly encourage collaborative ways of working and cross department communication and engagement

Qualifications

  • Adept at creating holistic packaging and brand concepts and design solutions
  • Examples of working on Iconic FMCG brands
  • Experience working on multiple creative projects, editing concepts to focus on the best ideas
  • A desire to create world class work, through quality of concept and craft
  • At least 5 years packaging design experience
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant software (Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma)
  • A passion for storytelling
  • Ability to blend creative and technical skills
  • An enthusiasm for design, identity, and brand experience
