Role

As a Motion Designer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering motion graphics and editing content that help elevate brand narratives across a variety of mediums and touchpoints.

You’ll work across a broad range of projects, from brand films and social content to motion identities and campaigns, exploring different techniques and approaches to find the right way to bring ideas and brands to life.

You’ll combine motion design, animation and editing to create work that is both creatively ambitious and effective, with an understanding of how to craft content from concept through to final delivery.

As motion design continues to evolve, you will continue developing as a motion generalist, exploring 2D, developing 3D skills and experimenting with emerging technologies such as AI.

You’ll be curious to learn, experiment and share knowledge with the wider team.

Responsibilities

  • Translate creative ideas and brand identities into compelling motion design.
  • Develop and present motion concepts and explorations.
  • Bring ideas to life through strong animation, editing and visual craft.
  • Edit and craft content for brand films, social and other moving image formats.
  • Explore different techniques and approaches to solve creative challenges.
  • Respond positively to feedback and iterate quickly.
  • Take ownership of work from initial exploration through to final delivery.
  • Build on existing ideas rather than simply executing a brief.
  • Understand the roles of the wider team and collaborate effectively to deliver timely solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal expertise and client knowledge to create better motion graphics.
  • Actively offer ideas and opportunities to other teams.
  • Share knowledge and help grow the team through self-initiated learning.

Reports to

  • Motion Director
  • An exciting portfolio that demonstrates the work that most represents and excites you.
  • 0-5 years motion design experience. We’re more interested in the quality and ambition of your work than the number of years you’ve been working.
  • Strong After Effects skills, with experience or an interest in developing 3D skills.
  • Experience with AI and emerging creative tools is a plus.
  • A strong eye for design, typography, composition, colour and visual storytelling, with an understanding of how these principles translate into motion.
  • Willing to experiment with new tools and workflows
  • Ability to adapt your approach depending on the creative challenge.
  • Interested in understanding why a technique works, not just how to execute it.
  • An enthusiasm for design, motion graphics and brand experience.
