Key Responsibilities:
- Provide reliable legal judgement and balanced advice, with a clear appreciation of legal risk.
- Deliver practical and strategic legal guidance on a range of employment law matters.
- Analyse complex issues and produce timely, accurate and fit-for-purpose legal advice based on thorough legal research.
- Consider legal issues within their broader organisational and policy context.
- Support stakeholders by offering clear, solution-focused recommendations.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the role of lawyers within a governmental organisation and the implications of operating within a non-departmental public body.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive.
- Current practising certificate from the relevant regulatory body.
- Strong employment law expertise gained within public or private sector organisations.
- Excellent analytical, communication and drafting skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver advice within required timescales.
- Experience assessing legal risk and providing commercially and strategically focused solutions.
