Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Employment Lawyer to provide high-quality legal advice and support within a public sector environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide reliable legal judgement and balanced advice, with a clear appreciation of legal risk. Deliver practical and strategic legal guidance on a range of employment law matters. Analyse complex issues and produce timely, accurate and fit-for-purpose legal advice based on thorough legal research. Consider legal issues within their broader organisational and policy context. Support stakeholders by offering clear, solution-focused recommendations. Demonstrate an understanding of the role of lawyers within a governmental organisation and the implications of operating within a non-departmental public body. Essential Requirements: Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive. Current practising certificate from the relevant regulatory body. Strong employment law expertise gained within public or private sector organisations. Excellent analytical, communication and drafting skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver advice within required timescales. Experience assessing legal risk and providing commercially and strategically focused solutions.
