Jones FM is seeking a highly competent Mobile Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to support a portfolio of sites across Greater London and the wider UK. This role requires strong electrical expertise alongside multi-skilled building services capability. The successful candidate will provide planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring assets remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.

The role includes regular travel, with accommodation, travel costs, and food expenses fully covered for any site visits that exceed a two-hour journey from the engineer’s home address.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Maintenance & Compliance: Carry out electrical planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with statutory requirements and SFG20 guidance. Undertake fault-finding, repairs, and remedial works on electrical systems including distribution boards, lighting, emergency lighting, power, and controls. Support electrical testing, inspections, and certification works.
  • Multi-Skilled Maintenance: Carry out basic mechanical and building fabric tasks where required (e.g. pumps, valves, AHUs support, minor plumbing, and fabric repairs). Assist with plant inspections and condition reporting.
  • Reactive Maintenance: Respond to reactive call-outs within agreed SLAs, diagnosing faults and restoring services efficiently. Provide clear communication to site contacts during fault resolution. Provide mobile engineering support across multiple sites in Greater London and regional UK locations. Travel to regional sites as required, supporting mobilisations, cover, and specialist tasks. Stay overnight when required; accommodation, travel, and food expenses are fully covered for journeys exceeding two hours from home.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Work in accordance with all Health & Safety legislation and company procedures. Review and adhere to RAMS, permits to work, and site-specific rules. Identify and report hazards, defects, and non-compliance.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Accurately complete job reports, service records, and statutory documentation. Update CAFM systems in real time with completed works and findings. Provide recommendations for remedial works or asset improvements.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Strong electrical background within building services or facilities management.
  • Proven experience in a mobile or multi-site engineering role.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload across multiple locations.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition (BS 7671).
  • Experience using CAFM systems.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge (HVAC, plumbing, pumps, AHUs).
