About the Role
Are you an experienced Building Maintenance Engineer who loves working on the move across London without the hassle of driving a van through city traffic?
We are looking for a reliable, customer-focused Foot Mobile Building Maintenance Engineer to join our dedicated contracts team. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across a vibrant portfolio of commercial, retail, and corporate sites within London Zones 1–6.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, fault-finding, and minor repairs across electrical, mechanical, and basic building services assets.
- Respond swiftly to client service requests, diagnosing issues efficiently to ensure minimal disruption to site operations.
- Conduct statutory compliance checks (e.g., emergency lighting tests, water hygiene/L8 monitoring, fire alarm testing).
- Serve as the main point of contact on site, maintaining positive relationships and communicating progress clearly with site managers.
- Escort and oversee specialist contractors on site when required.

What We're Looking For
- NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Electrical (18th Edition preferred) OR Mechanical / Plumbing / HVAC disciplines.
- Proven experience in a commercial building services / facilities management environment (foot mobile experience is a major plus).
- Strong multi-skilled fault-finding ability across general building maintenance assets.
- Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable navigating London's public transport network efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor.
