Position: Electrical QAQC Engineer

Job Description

As an Electrical QAQC Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering the Electrical Quality Management System.

As part of the QAQC Team, you will be responsible for the quality delivery of projects & equipment, ensuring that all client specifications are met, through inspections & walkdowns.

You will work closely with the Quality Lead as well as a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts to deliver cutting-edge projects while ensuring that all client specifications are met.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Overseeing the applicable Jones Engineering database for each project, ensuring it is kept up to date and accurate, which will essentially deliver the handover documentation to the client.
  • Review benchmarks and First of Kind Installations
  • Completion of system and equipment test packs using Project Quality Management Software on a project-by-project basis
  • Liaise with the QA Lead on handover documentation, system handover and tagging dates.
  • Liaise with the construction teams regarding handover dates, scheduling walk downs, developing snag lists etc. identifying snag trends and escalating to QA Leads.
  • Review Installations for Compliance to Jones Project Specific Quality Plan & ITPs, Project standards, specification, design, procedures & expectations.
  • Oversee 3rd party inspections & contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Ensure QA requirements are met by subcontractors.
  • Oversee & complete regular site walkdowns & inspections.
  • Travel required for Ireland and Mainland Europe site support where necessary.
  • Attend quality meetings with management and subcontractors and report on quality as required.
  • Liaise with other in-house specialist Electrical QA/QC Leads& Engineers as required.

This role will provide exposure to a wide range of expertise relating to Data Centre, life sciences, construction, and other sectors.

The successful candidate will be supported in developing their knowledge and skills as their responsibilities grow and evolve.

Skills And Requirements

  • Relevant Electrical/quality qualification.
  • Electrical Trade background would be advantageous.
  • Minimum 1+ year experience in a similar role desirable.
  • Fluent English essential.
  • Knowledge of electrical Systems and Schematics essential.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office essential.
  • Experience working with Quality software would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential.
