Document Controller Responsibilities

  • Manage, oversee, and maintain all project documentation in both BIM 360 and G‑Drive platforms.
  • Review and coordinate procedures with other document controllers to maintain consistent standards across the client.
  • Own and manage the Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) using details from all project Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDP).
  • Assist project teams with written reports related to information control.
  • Control information flows with external stakeholders following document control requirements.
  • Ensure that the project team is adhering to document control processes and procedures.
  • Support and coordinate within different QA/QC disciplines document controllers.
  • Provide reports on the status of documents for management reports on a weekly basis.
  • Oversee the status of all RFIs, submittals, and correspondence.
  • Oversee the status of all shop drawings, redlines, and as‑builts for your discipline.

Skills and Requirements

  • Leaving Certificates.
  • 5+ years in a similar position desirable.
  • Excellent IT skills essential (Google Sheets, Docs and Slides).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of BIM 360.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks to strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and on own initiative.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry would be advantageous.
  • Training for in‑house systems will be provided to the successful candidate.
