Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

The Billing Specialist is responsible for all aspects of drafting and finalizing client bills. The Billing Specialist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, collaborating with Client Services Lawyers (CSL), legal support specialists, and others, to ensure timely billing and collection; monitoring unbilled time; generating proformas; creating draft bills; confirming bills conform to billing arrangements; and performing manual calculations. The Billing Specialist also prepares write-up/write-down forms and obtains approvals; prepares bill reports, fee and disbursement summaries, and final bills; communicates with clients to resolve billing/collection issues; collaborates with CSLs on engagement letters; and maintains client billing folders.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in legal or professional services billing.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
