We are looking for an experienced

Project Manager to join our project delivery team starting on our Berwick Bank construction project at Innerwick, near Edinburgh, with other nationwide projects in the future.

Reporting to the Senior Contracts Manager and Contracts Director, you will play a central role in the successful planning, execution and delivery of our projects.

We don’t just oversee subcontractors, we self-deliver our work, and we’re looking for a Project Manager who wants to lead from the front.

Upon completion of the Berwick Bank project, you will be expected to travel across the UK with overnight stays required depending on site location.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead the delivery of major civil engineering projects from mobilisation to completion.
  • Manage Works Managers, Site Agents, Engineers, and the Quality team to drive progress and maintain standards.
  • Champion a “safety first” culture and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and implement HSEQ documentation including RAMS, quality plans, and environmental controls.
  • Take full ownership of programme delivery, budgets, and reporting from CVRs to final handover.
  • Procure and manage plant, labour, materials, and subcontractors, ensuring performance and value.
  • Interpret technical drawings and client specifications to guide accurate on-site delivery.
  • Help inform Design Decisions and liaising with Project Designers
  • Build strong relationships with clients and proactively resolve operational and contractual issues.
  • Mentor and support junior staff, sharing knowledge and building internal capability.
  • What We’re Looking For
  • Degree or HND in Civil Engineering.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager on civil engineering infrastructure projects
  • In-depth knowledge of Fidic contracts and project delivery standard is desirable
  • Commercially astute with experience managing budgets, forecasts, and subcontractor performance.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, planning tools (e. g. Project 2000), and digital costing/reporting systems.
  • An understanding of design process and the ability to work alongside project designers to inform and implement design changes
  • Excellent understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Skilled communicator and leader with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel and work across the UK with overnight stays as required.
  • Full UK driving licence.
