This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Jones Bros, Ruthin, suited to a professional, proactive and motivated individual. We are looking for a professional who is able to manage technical tenders across an array of sectors whilst producing key deliverables. Ideally, we are seeking a candidate with a site delivery background who has already or whom wishes to pursue a career in a pre-construction environment. However, all applications will be considered. The successful candidate will need to be committed, reliable and flexible both in terms of UK travel (and staying away overnight on occasion) and in the range of tasks performed.
The Technical Manager will play a key role supporting the business by managing technical tenders across an array of sectors whilst producing key deliverables.
Key Responsibilities- Producing construction methodologies
- Producing tender programmes
- Completing tender return information including detailed responses to quality questions
- Producing mass haul earthworks diagrams (training can be provided)
- Delivering tender presentations
- Managing specialist supply chain partners including disciplines such as design, ecology and traffic management
- Bid coordination
- Degree in civil engineering (or similar) or equivalent proven experience
- Experienced Professional (ideally Chartered But Not Essential)
- Effective and professional communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both as an individual and as part of a team
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
- High level of attention to detail
- Proactive and confident
- Computer literacy with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project (ideally)
- Excellent presentation skills
- A Full UK Driving Licence is also required
