Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for delivering high quality civil engineering projects? Jones Bros Civil Engineering is looking for a Site Foreman to join our project delivery team starting on an Earthworks Project. Reporting to the Works Manager and Site Agent, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of our infrastructure projects by overseeing daily site operations, maintaining compliance and driving high standards across safety, quality and performance.
You’ll be expected to travel with overnight stays required depending on site location. In return, we offer excellent lodge allowances for working away from home, along with the opportunity to manage impactful schemes and further your career within a growing business.
What You’ll Be Doing- Lead construction teams on site, managing task allocation and daily briefings
- Support the Works Manager and Site Agent in supervising site operations
- Ensure health, safety and environmental standards are followed at all times
- Monitor quality of work and progress across specific site areas
- Coordinate the use, inspection and maintenance of equipment and plant
- Liaise with Site Engineers, Gangers, Plant Operatives and other trades
- Mentor the workforce and support professional development on site
- Carry out equipment checks and safety inspections in line with company procedures
- Promote a positive safety-first culture and represent the Jones Bros brand professionally
- Support team communication, planning and conflict resolution where needed
- Maintain site records and assist in delivering project objectives
- Construction Skills Certification Scheme ("CSCS")
- Site Management Safety Training Scheme ("SMSTS") or Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme ("SSSTS")
- Suitable experience in "Earthworks", "Reinforced Concrete" and "HV Cable connection schemes."
You will be a reliable and proactive individual with strong communication skills and a commitment to safety, teamwork and quality. A willingness to support and develop others is essential, along with a positive attitude and desire to grow with the business. Weekend work is available.
