Role Description

As a non-resident coach, you will spend most of your time on-court. You will sometimes be scheduled for lunch-time supervision duty. Under the guidance of a head Coach, you will be allocated a group of 6 players and required to deliver the JMT Camp programme. Each morning you will attend the Head Coach briefing where you will work through the plan for the day. It will be your responsibility to deliver the required programme to your group of players. As a coach, you need the skill to ensure the programme is delivered in the most effective way to your players. This means choosing the correct drills and teaching points to ensure your players develop their skills and love of tennis.

As this is a residential camp, we need your help every second Sunday with player transfers and London trips. You are paid an extra £50 per day for this.

Typical Day

1. 09:15 Coach meeting
2. 10:00 Take part in Tennis demonstration with Head Coach
3. 10:15 Tennis coaching – 1 x coach with 6 x players on 1 x court
4. 12:30 Lunch (sometimes have court supervision)
5. 14:00 Tennis coaching
6. 16:30 Finish (or have after-tennis supervision until 18:00)
