Job Description:
- Work within the Quality Control team to ensure consistency of data reported and recorded.
- Responsible for the onboarding process for new suppliers.
- Review new supplier parts.
- Supplier visits to analyse and audit quality control and processes.
- Work with suppliers on process and product improvements.
Essential Criteria:
- Degree equivalent qualification in Engineering, Quality, or a related discipline or other relevant qualifications.
- Experience in working in supplier quality in a multi-national large manufacturing business.
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles and quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001).
- Experience with supplier onboarding, audits, or supplier development.
- Ability to review technical drawings/specifications and assess product conformity.
- Proven experience in root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions (e.g. 8D, 5 Whys).
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and consistency.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel for supplier visits and audits.
- Good competency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g. Excel or similar).
- Ability to develop Production Process for New Parts in collaboration with supplier including tooling, fixturing and inspection/measuring process.
Desired Criteria:
- Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma, Kaizen).
- Certified internal or lead auditor qualification.
- Experience working with international suppliers.
- Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or above).
