Our client, Yamazaki Mazak, is a globally recognised manufacturing company based in Worcester and a market leader in the machine tool industry. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CNC Turner to join the Machining Department. The successful candidate will receive full training across Mazak’s range of machines and become a valued member of the Service Team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company that has remained at the forefront of the industry for many years.
Job Description
- Programming, setting & operating Mazak Integrex & QT machines.
- Producing a wide & varied range of highly toleranced parts which are used in the manufacture of Mazak CNC machines.
- Understand CNC controls & be able to program/edit/improve existing & new parts.
- Work within a team of fellow engineers to strict health & safety guidelines & rules.
- Play your part in promoting positive culture amongst staff by engaging in H&S improvements & kaizen initiatives.
Essential Criteria
- Have a solid understanding of operating CNC controlled lathes.
- Can demonstrate & have experience of safely using CNC controls.
- Have a can-do attitude.
- Prior experience working within a team in a busy manufacturing environment.
Desirable Criteria
- Program from drawing Mazatrol CNC controls.
- Would have served a mechanical engineering apprenticeship/HNC etc.
The CNC Turner role will be on night shift after a period of training on double-day shift.
