  • CNC 4/5 Axis Milling Programmer/Setter/Operator – Double Day Shift - Worcester
  • £26,667 – £31,250 basic + 20% shift premium (£32,000 – £37,500)

Monday to Friday: 5:30am to 1:30pm
Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm to 10:30pm Friday: 2:00pm to 8:00pm

The Company

Our client, Yamazaki Mazak, is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading machine tool manufacturer that has been at the forefront of the industry for many years.

We are seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join the Large Castings Machining Department, working with Mazak 4 and 5 Axis machining centres to produce high-quality, precision components used in the manufacture of CNC machine tools.

The Role

  • Programming, setting and operating Mazak 4 and 5 Axis machining centres.
  • Producing a varied range of highly toleranced components used in the manufacture of Mazak CNC machines.
  • Using Mazatrol CNC controls to program, edit and improve both existing and new components.
  • Working as part of a team within a busy manufacturing environment.
  • Working to strict health and safety standards and procedures.
  • Supporting a positive culture through involvement in Health & Safety improvements and Kaizen initiatives.

Essential Criteria

  • Solid experience of setting and operating CNC machining centres.
  • Experience using CNC controls safely and effectively.
  • Previous experience working within a busy manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience programming directly from engineering drawings using Mazatrol CNC controls.
  • Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship, HNC or similar engineering qualification.
