Our client, Yamazaki Mazak, is a leading global manufacturing company. This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading machine tool manufacturer. An opportunity has arisen to join the Service Department as a Service Engineer. This role would suit an electrically or mechanically qualified engineer. Full training will be provided, with the successful candidate becoming a key member of the Service Team.
Job Description:
- Field-based role travelling to customer sites to service Mazak machines as part of planned maintenance.
- Duties include fault diagnosis, machine alignment checks, and general servicing.
- The role involves representing Mazak to customers, working in a professional and safety-conscious manner at all times.
Essential Criteria:
- Electrical or mechanical experience
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
- Basic programme experience (Mazak / Siemens / Heidenhain)
- Understanding of machine tool levelling, alignment, and geometry
- Knowledge of different control systems
- Experience with Mazatrol controls and Mazak machines
- Professional, customer-focused approach
- Flexible with overtime, weekends, and overnight stays
- Clean driving licence
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Ability to communicate with customers at all levels
Desirable Criteria:
- 5-axis knowledge
- Experience of report writing
