The Role

  • Support the maintenance, repair, and preparation of production tooling
  • Assist Toolmakers with planned and reactive maintenance activities
  • Carry out tool cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks
  • Assist with machining operations (lathe, milling, grinding)
  • Support tool assembly, alignment checks, and testing
  • Perform basic inspection using gauges and measuring equipment
  • Help identify tooling issues and support problem resolution
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping (5S) and safety compliance
  • Work closely with production and quality teams

What we are looking for

Essential

  • Engineering apprenticeship or qualification (NVQ, BTEC or similar)
  • Strong interest in engineering, manufacturing, or toolmaking
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
