We’re currently recruiting for a Production Support Operative with mechanical assembly skills and material handling experience to join a well-established engineering business in Telford to support their machine fitters and wirers. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on individual looking to develop their skills in a varied and well organised environment. Excellent range of benefits available and earning potential as well as ongoing training and development.

Hours: Working days with a lunch time finish on Friday

Salary: £29 - 31,000

The Role: You’ll be supporting production, engineering, and logistics teams with a mix of practical and administrative tasks, including:

  • Forklift driving
  • Mechanical assembly, packing, and preparation of parts and machinery
  • Quality checking high-value equipment
  • Supporting engineers on the shop floor
  • Completing documentation and admin tasks
  • General workshop duties and housekeeping

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in a hands-on or manufacturing role
  • Confident using hand tools (spanners, drills, etc.)
  • Basic IT skills (Excel, Word)
  • Forklift licence – Advantageous
  • Basic electrical knowledge

You will have current or recent experience as mechanical assembler or in mechanical assembly, production support or production technician in a technology or engineering environment. Material handling or stores operative, electrical assembly, panel wiring.
