2 x SPOT WELDERS NEEDED IN CHESHIRE! Do you have previous spot welding experience and are you seeking a new permanent job role within the Cheshire area? If so, get in touch with me today as we are recruiting 2 Spot Welders on a permanent basis for a sheet metal fabrication business based in Sandbach, Cheshire.

For the first 12 weeks you will train on day shifts (7.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 12.30pm finish Friday), before moving onto a rotating 6-2/2-10 shift pattern once trained. During the first 12 weeks you would earn an annual salary of £26,500 per annum, but once on the rotating shift system you could earn between £29,000 - £34,200 per annum. Overtime is regularly available and is paid at T1/3 after 39 hours, and T1/2 after 48 hours. This business also offers a £2,000 new starter incentive bonus which is a staggered payment (£200 after the first month, £800 once you've passed probation and the final £1,000 to be paid after 12 months service).

If you take pride in producing quality work, enjoy working with your hands, and have experience in welding operations to assemble and fabricate metal components, primarily using spot welding techniques, we’d like to hear from you. Anyone who has previously worked as a Sheet Metal Worker, Sheet Metal Assembler, Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Assembler, MIG Welder, Fabricator or Linisher would be well received.

What You Will Do:
  • Operate spot welding equipment to join sheet metal and other components accurately and efficiently
  • Set up and adjust welding machines to meet specifications and quality standards
  • Perform welding and other welding techniques as required for specialised tasks
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to prepare materials prior to welding
  • Conduct inspections of welds to ensure they meet safety and quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Follow technical drawings, diagrams, and basic math calculations to complete tasks accurately

  • Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment such as shears, grinders, and drills
  • Strong understanding of sheet metal work and fabrication principles
  • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

  • Ability to perform assembly tasks with precision and attention to detail
