A large food manufacturer are seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team. As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll become part of a supportive team, conducting routine & reactive maintenance on a variety of machinery. Working Days: Monday to Saturday (5 shifts out of 6)
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
Working Hours: 06:00 – 15:00
What You Will Do:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
- Diagnose faults and perform effective repairs to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns, identify root causes, and communicate issues with management and operations teams.
- Record spare parts usage and maintenance activities using a CMMS system.
- Support installation, refurbishment, and improvement projects to enhance operational performance.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation.
What You Will Bring:
- A time-served multi-skilled apprenticeship in an engineering discipline.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills with a proactive and safety-focused approach.
- Flexibility and a team-oriented mindset, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Experience in hatchery, agriculture, or food production environments is desirable.
- Knowledge of IEE 17th/18th Edition, PLC systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics is advantageous.
